 This is Tommy Keane's debut solo recording and includes the first sighting of a musical duet with his wife Jacqueline McCarthy on concertina.

 This album is the first to feature uilleann pipes and concertina as a duet.  Accompaniment is provided by Alec Finn of Dé Dannan on bouzouki and guitar.  Also guesting is West Clare concertina player Tommy McCarthy (Jacqueline's father). The album was mixed by PJ Curtis.

   

 

 

 

 

1997 (MMC CD 52)

This is the first solo album from one of Clare's great multi-instrumentalists.  Tommy McCarthy's music can be heard on this recording in all it's purity as he plays concertina, uilleann pipes and tin whistle on 18 tracks of solo, unaccompanied traditional music in the relaxed, rhythmical and graceful style of his native county.
 This album will be a reference point in years to come and shows Tommy as a tasteful interpreter of the music, never isolating it in a flurry of showmanship. It is a fitting testament to a musician who in a very humble way that belies his art, contributed so much to all our enjoyment with almost sixty years of music making.

1999 (MMC CD 53)

This album is the debut solo recording of concertina player  Jacqueline McCarthy.  Her family - Tommy Sen., Marion, Bernadette and Tommy Jun. - are also featured on the album.  This is their first recording together - having played together for over thirty years.  Tommy Sen. and his wife Kathleen lived in London for over forty years and their children were born, raised and learned their music there.  
 Jacqueline's style and repertoire is very much influenced by her father, Tommy Sen. who was from Kilmhil in West Clare - an area that has produced many fine concertina players.  Other Clare musicians who have influenced Jacqueline's music are Bobby Casey, Willie Clancy and John Kelly.

On this album the McCarthy Family and their spouses pay homage to their father - Tommy McCarthy.

In Full Tune is the debut solo piping album by Galway piper Pádraic Keane. The music featured on the album is a mix of both popular and lesser-heard tunes from the traditional repertoire. Inspiration is drawn from the music which he learnt growing up, as well as from the piping tradition of the last two centuries. The music is performed on three sets of uilleann pipes made in the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries, which are detailed in the album notes along with insightful information on the tunes. Both physical and digital formats available.
